MAN SUSTAINS BURNS INJURIES IN EAST BELFAST ARSON ATTACK

police scene pic new1DETECTIVES in east Belfast are investigating an arson attack at a house in My Lady’s Road off the Ravenhill Road in the early hours of this morning.

Police say a container of flammable liquid was placed outside the front door of the house and set alight at around 4am on Wednesday morning. Damage was caused to the front porch as a result.

Four adults were in the property at the time of the attack.

A male occupant suffered burns to his hand extinguishing the fire and received treatment from paramedics at the scene.

A male wearing a dark coloured hooded top and trousers and white trainers was seen in the area at the time.

Chief Inspector David Moore has appealed to anyone with any information about this incident to contact officers in Strandtown on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
