MEN ARRESTED OVER NORTH BELFAST ARMED ROBBERY

police scene pic new1DETECTIVES have arrested two men over an armed robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast last night.

The men – aged 27 and 34 – were detained following the hold-up on the Crumlin Road.

The PSNI say officers received a report that a man entered the premises with a knife and threatened staff before making off with cigarettes and alcohol.

The suspects were later arrested by police on suspicious of armed robbery.

The pair are currently being held in the PACE custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station being quizzed over the hold-up.
