DETECTIVES have launched a murder bid probe after a man was left fighting for his life in hospital.

Police say the stabbing happened at a house in Vere Foster Walk at around 4 am on Saturday morning.

It is believed the victim, a 51-year-old man, was stabbed in the abdomen.

Despite his injuries hewas able to make his way to Springfield Close on foot, before emergency services arrived.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
