POLICE in Bangor have arrested a 26 year old man following an aggravated burglary.

The PSNI say that around 12.15 am yesterday morning, March 24, police received a report of an incident at flats in Dufferin Avenue not far from the local police station.

Two males and a female gained entry to a flat and the 33 year old male occupant was struck on the head.

The three then made their way to another flat and stole a television and mobile phone.

The 33 year old man required medical treatment for injuries to his head.

A short time later police arrested a 26 year old man who is currently assisting them with their enquiries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has information that may assist their investigation.
