DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have arrested a 55-year-old man following an arson attack at a house in north Belfast.

Police say the empty property in Glencairn Crescent was deliberately set alight at about 6.30 pm on Saturday.

The house was “completely gutted” in the incident.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact detectives on the 101 non-emergency number.

The man is currently being held at the PACE custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station.
