DETECTIVES are investigating after a man was brutally injured after being attacked by two men with iron bars.
The 22-year-old victim was walking on Bridge Street in the village of Bushmills, north Antrim last night when he was attacked around 8 pm.
He suffered injuries to his arms and legs.
Police say both of the attackers were wearing masks and dark clothing.
One was said to be about 5 ft 6 ins tall, the other around 6 ft.
The mssked attacker then fled on foot in the direction of the river.
Detectives in Coleraine have appealed for witnesses to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.
