TWO men are due in court this morning charged over the seizure of a £1 million cannabis haul earlier this week.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch has confirmed that two men, aged 24 and 36, have been charged tonight with a number of offences.

They include possession of class B controlled drugs, possession of class B controlled drugs with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and supplying class B drugs.

Both men are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, January 28.

As is normal procedure the charges are reviewed by the PPS.

It is understood the charges are in relation to the seizure of approximately £1 million of illegal drugs at Dargan Road in north Belfast on Tuesday.
