NOTHING FOUND AFTER SECURITY ALERT CLOSES RAILWAY LINE

Police sceneTHE security alert on the Belfast to Dublin railway line has now ended.

Police say officers have conducted a search of the area at Lake Street in Lurgan but nothing untoward was found.

Earlier the railway line had been closed between Lisburn and Portadown.

Passengers were being bused between the Lisburn and Portadown.

The line is now reopening to trains.

The track has been repeatedly targeted by dissident republicans.
