POLICE have closed part of the Belfast to Dublin railway line due to a security alert.

The security forces are currently at the scene of the alert in Lurgan.

Army Technical Officers have been tasked to the scene.

Translink say part of the railway line has been closed between Lisburn and Portadown.

Passengers are being bused between the Lisburn and Portadown until further notice.

The line has been repeatedly targeted by dissident republicans.
