DETECTIVES are investigating an aggravated burglary in east Belfast last night.

The PSNI say that at around 9 pm a man in his 30s returned to his house in Trillick Street to find an unknown male ransacking the property.

The man held a knife to his throat and threatened him before making off on foot.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the burglary to contact detectives on the 101 non emergency number.
