DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime branch have arrested two people following the seizure of suspected cocaine.

Officers stopped and searched a vehicle on Dromore Road, Hillsborough shortly after 7pm on Monday, 4 January, 2016.

Cocaine with an estimated street value of £30,000 was seized.

A 36 year old man and 25 year old woman were arrested for possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: “We hope this sends out a clear message to any person who considers becoming involved in the illegal sale or use of drugs. We are committed to removing illegal drugs from our streets.

“The man and woman arrested are currently assisting us with our enquiries and our investigation is ongoing.

“We would encourage anyone who has information which may assist our investigation to contact us on 101.”
