MAN ASSAULTED BY MASKED MEN IN BRUTAL SOUTH BELFAST BURGLARY

Police sceneDETECTIVES in South Belfast are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at premises on Jubilee Road at the weekend.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “It was reported that three masked men, wearing dark clothing and carrying a suspected firearm and knives, entered the property sometime between 7 pm and 9 pm and tied up the occupants.

“A lap top computer and a small sum of money were reported to have been taken by the men.

“One of the male occupants was struck to the head during the incident but was not seriously injured.”

DS WIlson added, “I would appeal for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Jubilee Road area on Saturday or who has any information to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101.

“Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
