TWO CHARGED OVER WEST BELFAST STAB MURDER BID

Police securityppicDETECTIVES have charged a 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man with attempted murder following a stabbing in West Belfast.

They were detained in Belfast last night and taken to the PACE custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station for questioning.

They were later charged with attempted murder and are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, November 5.

The charges relate to a stabbing on the Cullingtree Road in the early hours of Sunday.

An 18-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the attack.

He was rushed to the nearby Royal Victoria Hospital for emergency surgery to his injuries.

It was the second stabbing in the Clonard area in the space of a number of days.
