BATTERED MAN ORDERED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY

PSNIDETECTIVES are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary.

It happened at a house at Gortacar Road in Cookstown on Hallowe’en evening, Saturday, October 31.

Police say officers received a report that four men entered the house at around 11.30pm and assaulted the male occupant, a man aged in his 20’s, using “bats, fists and feet” and told him to leave the country.

Two of the men wore overalls and masks and two wore black jeans, boots, green jumpers and balaclavas.

Police say the occupant suffered cuts and bruises as a result of the incident.

It is believed that the men made off from the scene in two vehicles.

Detective Inspector Will Tate is appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information which may assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives at Dungannon on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
