MAN ARRESTED OVER WEST BELFAST STAB MURDER BID

police crime scene pic 1DETECTIVES investigating a stabbing incident in west Belfast yesterday have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder.

An 18-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in Cullingtree Road around 6 am on Sunday, November 1.

He was rushed to the nearby Royal Victoria Hospital for life saving treatment.

The 26-year-old man was arrested in Belfast this morning.

He is currently in the PACE custody suite at Musgrave PSNI station helping police with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Nigel Snoddy said: “I continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime, Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
