NORTH BELFAST CHURCH ROBBED OF POPPY APPEAL MONEY

Joanmount church picPOLICE are investigating after callous ghouls broke in and robbed a church in North Belfast.

In a statement this evening, the church said: “We are saddened to say that our church has been broken into.

“Damage has been caused and equipment and money has been taken, as well as our collection for the Poppy Appeal.

“We are shocked at what has happened but we hope and pray that through our trust in God we will recover from this and continue to show God’s lover to our community.”

Anyone with information about those behind the robbery is asked to contact police on the 101 non-emergency number.
