DETECTIVES investigating the murder of an eastern European man found murdered in a garage have arrested a 34-year-old man.
Gediminas Stauskas, 32, originally from Lithuania, was found in a garage near Coalisland last week.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee McNevison, from Serious Crime Branch, said: “The suspect had been arrested last Tuesday night in Portadown as part of a separate investigation into two shootings in Newry last month.
“He will now be interviewed at Musgrave police station about the murder of Mr Stauskas whose body was found in a garage at Moor Road in Coalisland on 15 October.”
Mr Stauskas was found dead at the property on the Moor Road, Coalisland October 15..
Mr Stauskas had a violent past, having been jailed for five and a half years for the 2011 manslaughter of a fellow Lithuanian, Audrius Aukstuolis.
