Murdered Kevin McGuigan

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have released a man quizzed over the murder of Kevin McGuigan two months ago.

The PSNI say the 47-year-old, who was arrested last night in west Belfast, is to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.

The PPS will consider a police a report on whether the case meets the test for prosecution.

Father-of-nine Kevin McGuigan was shot dead outside his house at Comber Court in the Short Strand district of east Belfast on August 12.

The PSNI say members of the Provisional IRA carried out the attack in revenge for the murder of former Belfast OC Jock Davison.
