MURDER INQUIRY LAUNCHED AFTER MAN’S BODY FOUND IN GARAGE

Police sceneDETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team have launched a murder probe after the body of a man found in a garage.

The 32-year-old was discovered at a commercial premises on Moor Road near Coalisland, Co Tyrone just after 1 pm on Thursday, October 15.

The man is said to be eastern European but his name has not yet been released.

Police fear he was killed he was killed an eastern European Mafia-style gang.

Detectives said they are “continuing to investigate a possible link” to an attack on another man who was shot and assaulted in Coalisland the previous day.

The other victim is also from eastern Europe.

The officer leading the murder investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Lee McNevison of MIT said: “If anyone saw anything unusual in the Moor Road area of Coalisland in recent days we would like them to contact detectives at Dungannon police station by calling the non-emergency number 101.”
