MAN TO FACE COURT OVER JUDGES AND PSNI OFFICERS LIST FIND

Craigavon Magistrates CourtDETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit have charged a man with having information likely to be of use to dissident terrorists.

The was arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act and was taken to the serious crime suite at Musgrave police station in Belfast.

He was detained after he was allegedly caught with a list of names belonging to members of the judiciary and the PSNI.

All those officers on the list have been advised by the review their personal security both on and off duty.

The PSNI’s Close Protection Unit has advised those members of the judiciary on the list of the threat.

The 23-year-old is to face Craigavon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14 for a first remand hearing.

He is charged with collecting information likely to be of use to terrorists.

The charges relate to a list of names found on October 2.

The PSNI said the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
