A 49-year-old man has died following a crash involving two cars.

The crash happened on the Dromore Road in Omagh, Co Tyrone around 10 pm.

His death brings to 53 the number of people killed on Northern Ireland roads this year.

Police say a 40-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The police have said she has been arrested in connection with the collision.

The Dromore Road remains closed while the scene is examined by the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit.
