MASKED MEN HUNTED AFTER WOMAN TIED UP AND ROBBED

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES are on the trail of three masked men who stormed a home in east Belfast and tied up and robbed a woman.

The terrifying incident happened in the Grand Parade area around 12.30 am on Sunday morning.

Police say the woman was returning home when she was confronted by the three men, who were wearing masks and dark clothing.

The masked men then demanded money from the woman.

Her hands were bound and the men then searched through the house, before taking credit cards and stole rings from her fingers.

The robbers then left the house with the stolen items in two plastic carrier bags.

The woman eventually was able to get outside and a passing taxi driver stopped and alerted police.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch are appealing for anty witnesses who may have seen the men around the house to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.
