THE PSNI are warning residents in the Markets area of south Belfast to be vigilant following a report of a suspicious device there.
Searches were carried out following reports a device may be close to Friendly Street this evening.
Police have said inquiries are ongoing into the reports.
They have urged to the public to report any suspicious objects or activity.
Inspector Murphy said: “If you do see something that is out of place or arouses your suspicions, do not touch it and report it police immediately on the 101 number.”
