SUSPECTED ‘KILLER’ HEROIN DEALERS TO FACE COURT

Laganside Court houseDETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged two men with conspiracy to supply heroin and money laundering offences.

The men, aged 24 and 30, were arrested in Belfast city centre on Tuesday morning under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and the Proceeds of Crime Act following a proactive investigation into the illegal trade in heroin.

Police say the suspects to to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing.

They spent the night in the cells at nearby Musgrave PSNI station.

Detective Inspector Andy Dunlop said: “Heroin is a killer.

“I would ask anyone who has any information about those who supply and deal in this poison to help their communities and give that information to police on 101.

“Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
