DETECTIVES are investigating after two men were beaten with baseball bats when three masked men forced their way into a property in south Belfast and demanded cash.

Police say the attack happened at around 8.30 pm last night, Saturday, September 19, at Elm Street.

The victims were struck on the legs and back by baseball bats.

Police said the victims claimed that one of the attackers had a gun.

“Neither man required hospital treatment for their injuries,” a police spokesperson said.
