RACE HATE ATTACK: POLICE WANT HELP IN IDENTIFYING THIS MAN

Parkmount StreetDETECTIVES investigating an assault at a house in north Belfast over a year ago have released an image of a man they would like to speak with in relation to the incident.

Detective Constable Sam McCallum explains, “ The brief background of the incident is that on the afternoon of Sunday 1st June last year, a 24 year old male was firstly subjected to racist taunts outside his house in Parkmount Steet and then assaulted both outside and inside his house by two men.

“A 57 year old man and an 18 year old woman were arrested in relation to this incident but the investigation is continuing and we believe the man pictured may be able to assist us with our enquiries.

“I would appeal to this individual or anyone who knows him to contact police in Musgrave on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

It is understood a filee is currently with the PPS in relation to the 57 year old man.
