DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a robbery in Donaghadee early this morning.

Detective Inspector Harry Colgan explains: “At around 6.30am a delivery driver was travelling on Killaughey Road when he was flagged down by two males.

The pair pulled the driver from his van, threatened him with an iron bar and demanded money. They then made off with a sum of cash in a dark coloured car.

The driver was left extremely shaken by the ordeal.

I am asking anyone with information or anyone who was travelling on Killaughey Road, or surrounding roads at around 6.30am, to get in touch with us. You may have information that could assist the investigation. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101.”
