TWO men have been charged after a 29-year-old man was assaulted in east Belfast last week.

The accused have been charged with robbery, false imprisonment and possessing a firearm with intent to cause violence.

Both men are expected to at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
