POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a two-car crash in west Belfast last night.

The smash has left an 18-year-old in the Royal Victoria Hospital with a serious head injury.

The cars were involved in a head-on collision on the Colinglen Road.

Five people, including the 18-year-old, were taken to hospital.

The injuries of other people are not believed to be life-threatening.

An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the crash.
