POLICE are in attendance at the scene of a security alert in east Belfast.

The PSNI were called to My Lady’s Road, off the Ravenhill Road, this morning following the discovery of a suspicious object.

As a result, My Lady’s Road has been closed in both directions.

The Ravenhill Road has been closed between Ormeau Embankment and Woodstock Link.

Traffic diversions have been put in place.

Army Technical Officers are now at the scene examining the object.
