POLICE are investigating after a boy was left in a critical condition after being struck by a car in north Belfast.

The boy was knocked down at around 7.30 pm on North Queen Street.

The road is closed and diversions are in place while the scene is being examined by collision investigators,

The PSNI has appealed for any witnesses to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.
