MEN TO FACE COURT ON £100,000 DRUG CHARGES

Laganside Court houseTWO men are due in court this morning charged in connection with drugs with an estimated street value of £100,000.

The men, aged 25 and 32, are due at Belfast Magistrates’ Court later accused of numerous drug offences including conspiracy to supply a class A drug and possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.

The drugs were seized in by detectives from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Coleraine and east Belfast.

The charges relate to the recovery of class A, B and C drugs – including ecstasy tablets, herbal cannabis and diazepam tablets – during searches of a house in Coleraine and two houses in east Belfast on Wednesday.

Police say quantity of cash and other drugs paraphernalia were also recovered.

The money was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
