POLICE are investigating after a car was damaged in a petrol bomb attack in east Belfast.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in St Leonard’s Crescent was smashed before a petrol bomb was thrown inside on Thursday.

The incident happened at around 2.15 am.

Police have asked for witnessed the attack to contact them on 101 non-emergency number 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
