TEENAGER ARRESTED OVER TASER ATTACK ON NINE-YEAR-OLD BOY IN NORTH BELFAST

tASER GUNSPOLICE in north Belfast have arrested a 14 year old boy for a serious assault and seized a taser gun.

He was  questioned about assault occasioning actual bodily harm (AOABH) following an incident which occurred in the Ballycastle Court area on Wednesday 22 July.

Inspector Roy Watton said: “We received a report of an incident in which a nine year old boy sustained an injury to his arm and a police investigation commenced.

“This is a very serious incident and I would remind both children and parents that a taser is not a toy and it can cause a lot of pain when used on someone.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed this incident to contact Police at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The 14 year old has been released pending further investigations.
