POLICE are investigating a report of an assault on a 54 year old man.

It happened on the Tandragee Road, Markethill, Co Armagh around 7 pm last night, Sunday, June 28.

Chief Inspector Gillian West said, “Police  investigating the assault  arrested a  60 year man in the Dungannon area, just after midnight,  on suspicion of common assault and threats to kill.

“He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

“Investigations are continuing and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact police in Armagh on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
