MASKED AND ARMED MEN HUNTED IN SOUTH BELFAST

Police scene armed copDETECTIVES in South Belfast are investigating the report of an incident in the Sandy Row area last night.

Police received a report at around 11.15pm of three men outside a house in Blythe Street.

The men were dressed in black and were wearing balaclavas and one was reported to have been armed with a firearm.

No shots were fired, however, and the men left the area on foot in the direction of Majestic Drive.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Reid has appealed to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information which may assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
