THE PSNI are again advising motorists not to leave valuable items on display in cars for thieves to steal.

Two motorists came back to their parked cars this week to find their windows smashed in the Tates Avenue area of south Belfast.

The incidents happened in Donnybrook Street and Lorne Street.

A satellite navigation system was stolen from one car and IPod snatched from the other.

A police spokesman said: “If you leave valuables visible in your car, don’t, it really isn’t worth the risk.”
