PENSIONER SUSTAINS SUSPECTED DISLOCATED ARM IN DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

musgrave psniDETECTIVES are investigating after a 79-year-old woman was injured after she was knocked to the ground by a thief who stole her handbag.

The incident happened shortly before 2 pm on Thursday in the Shankill Road area of west Belfast.

Police said the woman sustained a bump to her head and a suspected dislocated arm in the fall.

The thug made off on foot in the direction of the Shankill Estate.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have any information to contact them at Musgrave Police Station on the 101 non-emergency number.
