POLICE in north Belfast have uncovered approximately 50 cannabis plants today.

It follows a raid the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in the Canmore Close area this morning just off the Shankill Road.

Superintendent Darrin Jones said: “Police are committed to working with local communities to tackle the issues surrounding the sale and misuse of illegal drugs.

“Anyone with information relating to drugs should contact police immediately, either through the non-emergency telephone number 101, or anonymously through the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111. It is with the community’s assistance and information that the PSNI can identify offenders and bring them to justice”.
