DETECTIVES from the PSNI’S Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged a man.

He is to appear in court this morning charged with blackmail, common assault & possession of class B drugs (cannabis) with intent to supply.

Police say the 30-year-old man was arrested in Ahoghill, Co Antrim on Tuesday morning and taken to Antrim police station.

Det Insp Tom McClure said: “The suspect was questioned about blackmail, threats to kill, the illegal supply of controlled drugs and other offences.”

Police officers also searching a property in Ahoghill.
