ONE of Belfast’s most best known electrical retailers has pulled the plug on his business after hitting a financial brick wall.
S&R Electric Ltd – or Sam’s Yer Man For A Bargain, pulled down the shutters on Tuesday on its two stores – one on the Holywood Road in east Belfast a second in Newtownards.
As a result, 20 staff have joined the dole queues.
The company, which has outlets in east Belfast and Newtownards, has made 20 staff redundant.
In a statement the firm’s shareholders said they are evaluating their options and will be in contact with all customers who have paid deposits for goods.
