THREE MEN TO APPEAR IN COURT CHARGED OVER LOYALIST PARAMILITARY ATTACK

Omagh magistrates courtTHREE more men have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault and aggravated burglary following a paramilitary-style attack.

The men, aged 22, 24 and 27, are due to appear before court in Newtwnards tomorrow morning, Thursday, April 8.

A man in his 20s was hurt by a gang with baseball bats and screwdrivers during the attack on Monday at  Bartley’s Wood, Ballywalter, Co Down.

The gang had stormed his house and he fled by jumping out of a second floor window only to be chased down by his attackers.

Alleged ringleader Jonathan Paul Vance, 33. of Eccles Street, Belfast was remanded in custody.

The postman was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault and aggravated burglary.

Two women in their 20s were in the property at the time of the attack on Monday and one of them sustained minor injuries.
