NI ROADS CLAIM VICTIM NO 13 AS TEEN DIES IN TWO CAR SMASH

policeroadclosedPOLICE have revealed a 19 year old male has died following a two vehicle road traffic collision.

It happened on the Cushendall Road in Ballycastle early this morning, Easter Monday, April 6.

The teenager was travelling in a Peugeot 207 that was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Bora at around 3.40 am.

A number of other people were injured as a result of the collision which has left a man and woman in critical condition in hospital.

Inspector Mick Wood said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Cushendall Road at the time of the collision to contact the Collision Investigation Unit or local Police in Ballycastle on the non-emergency number 101.

The Cushendall Road is expected to remain closed for some time today as investigation into the crash continues.
