NORTH BELFAST HOME GUTTED IN ARSON ATTACK

Police sceneDETECTIVES are investigating after a house in north Belfast was destroyed in an arson attack.

Police believe the perpetrator broke into the property in Alliance Parade shortly before 4am on Saturday and deliberately set it on fire.

A woman living there was not in at the time.

Detective Sergeant Dolores Black said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in this area at around this time or anyone who has information about this incident to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
