MAN CHARGED OVER BOMB FIND

Craigavon Magistrates CourtDETECTIVES have charged a 44-year-old with terrorism offences.

He is due at Craigavon Magistrates’s Court this morning, Friday, March 20.

The suspect has been charged with possession of articles likely to be of use to terrorists and engaging in preparatory acts of terrorism.

The charges are connected to a bomb found on Sloan Street in Lurgan on 18 October 2013.

A 25-year-old man arrested earlier on Thursday has been released unconditionally.

Both men had been arrested this week by detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit.
