POLICE are cracking down on anti-social behaviour in north Belfast.
It follows complaints to neighbourhood cops from residents in the Oldpark and Ardoyne areas about ASB and motorcycles in and around both areas.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We have spent the weekend doing joint patrols with Belfast City Council at the request of residents who are continually being tortured by youths from the area.
“This was on the back of a residents meeting who want the Police to do more to combat the massive ASB and criminal damage issues to residents homes in the area.
A number of youths are being reported to our Youth Diversion Officer.
“A scrambler has been seized which is completely unroadworthy and a death trap.
“It is one of a number motorbikes/mini motos and scramblers which are again terrorising the residents of Clifton Drive and Crescent area.”
