MAN RELEASED OVER MURDER OF PAULA CARMICHAEL

Police sceneA MAN arrested yesterday for questioning about the murder of Paula Carmichael has been released by detectives.

The 61-year-old was last seen near her home in Hillside, Antrim, on Monday night.

A woman’s body was recovered from the shore of Lough Neagh at Lough Road on Wednesday.

Police now say it has been formally identified as that of Pauline Carmichael.

The PSNI say that a 59-year-old man who was arrested by police has been released unconditionally.

A 37 year old man remains in custody.

Police had been conducting extensive searches for the victim after nformation provided to them led them to believe that Ms Carmichael had been murdered.

When last seen, Ms Carmichael was wearing pink pyjamas and was described as as being 5ft 4ins tall with blonde hair.
