MURDER PROBE LAUNCHED AFTER BODY OF PAULA CARMICHAEL FOUND AT LOUGH NEAGH

Police crime scene picDETECTIVES have now started a murder inquiry over the disappearance of a 61-year-old woman from her home in Co Antrim.

Two men have been arrested for questioning.

They have now been re-arrested on suspicion of causing her murder.

The PSNI say police officers had been searching the Six Mile Water river near Pauline Carmichael’s house.

However, around tea time this evening the police said her body was found on Lough Road the shores of Lough Neagh.

She has been missing from her home in Hillside, Antrim, since Monday night.

The 61-year-old was wearing pink pyjamas when last seen.

She’s described as being 5ft 4ins tall with blonde hair.

A police spokesperson said officers are concerned her safety.

The two men arrested are aged 37 and 59.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.
