POLICE have confirmed that a woman pedestrian has died following a road traffic collision.

She was struck by a lorry on North Street in Lurgan, Co Armagh, shortly before 7 pm on Friday evening.

The road is expected to remain closed for some time.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on the 101 non emergency number.

She is the sixth person to die on Northern Ireland’s roads this year.
