DETECTIVES are investigating after a 17-year-old youth has been shot in the legs by a masked gang at a house in west Belfast.

Police said the men forced their way into the property at Monagh Drive shortly before 9.20 pm on Tuesday.

The youth was taken to hospital for treatment for three gunshot wounds to his legs following the paramilitary style shooting

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Dissident republican group Oglaigh na hEireean (ONH) are being blamed for the attack.
